Mikko Akselin has represented the Association of Finnish Accounting Firms as the Vice Chairman of the Board of the Federation of Finnish Enterprises since 2012, and previously also as a Member of the Board and as a Member of the Working Committee and Member of the Audit Committee.
Jyrki Mäkynen from Seinäjoki was elected as the Chairman, and among the three candidates he received 51.45% of the votes in the first election round, and was thus directly elected as chairman.
Mikko Akselin from the Association of Finnish Accounting Firms, Hanna Munter of the Varsinais-Suomi regional organisation of the Federation of Finnish Enterprises, Juhani Hyry of the Uusimaa regional organisation of the Federation of Finnish Enterprises, and Tommi Matikainen of the South Karelia regional organisation of the Federation of Finnish Enterprises were all elected as vice chairmen. In the election, Akselin received a total of 1,884 votes, Munter a total of 1,768 votes, Hyry a total of 1,547 votes, and Matikainen a total of 1,529 votes.
